A jewel In The Dunes...
Welcome to the Belgian coast! Not so far from the local Riviera, hidden behind the large Oostende's harbor, this large red bricks military hospital live its very last days.
Built in the first half of the 20th century, this hospital was a very active during the second World War.

Panorama
Abandoned in the early 90's, it will be used as a home for political refugees and will be known as 'Home Fabiola'
In 1997, the hospital is completely abandoned and opens to any squatters or vandals. The Belgian government sold it recently. It will be either demolished or renovated for housing.
The exploration is pleasant, while from some rooms you can see the high sand dunes surrounding the buildings. The buildings have a large cave networks that links all buildings together.
But definitely the chapel (let's call it church) is really worth a visit with its frescos painted on the walls.
