I can only imagine, when seeing the pictures from 2008, what the feeling must have been like then. I recognized certain cans and animals but so much was gone. And now I hear the whole building has been cleaned out cause they will also be making lofts in the last one that was still abandoned. As a passionate explorer I am very happy I got to see this place, but it also made me very sad thinking about what happened to all those animals and what pain they must have gone through being tested on... Stuff to think about for sure.

Only one animal-remain is still whispering in the building, communicating with the voices of long lost teachers and students.

I heard that the complete building will be restored next year, it's a historical and architectural masterpiece.
Go there while you can, be confused and amazed. The location is not that hard to find either.

3 weeks a go we were at this lab, but we couldn't go inside. There were a lot of cars in front of the building and we didnt had a possibility to climb over a fense. You know the best way to get inside. Maybe you know a sollution. Than i give you some addresses from llocations.

There is nothing more of " horors" in the front buildings, all has been taken by de administration of Anderlecht. Don't try ton visite this place, it's no more empty.

You could jump the 3.5m fence at night, but I couldn't see if there was a way in, every door and window at ground level looked solidly boarded up, and there are cars, bikes, people, and dogs inside the fence, seemingly inhabiting the other buildings in the same complex.

On the up side, the veterinary school building itself still seems untouched, and if you could get in, these things are probably still there.

I visisted this site again, just 2 days ago and it IS accessible, you just need to look around with a bit of creativity and you WILL find a way in

Once you get in make sure to visit the Attic, which gives you entry to a small hidden room, full of old books completely overgrown with mould!!! Very awesome view!

Also on the floor right below the attic, there's an old (classroom I guess?) which is VERY nise, very worth the visit!

And indeed.. in the cellar there is still that one room everyone would love to visit. The horror labs itself!
A quite small room, complete full of the dead animals in jars!
Very dark in here.. so make sure you've got enough flaslights with you

One of the most exciting and beatifiul explorations I have done so far probably!

During my visit I came across a couple signs of vandalism.. Like smashed jars, pipettes etc. So if you're planning to visit, I recommend you to do it quickly..

The entire site has been well set off by a big wall and fence. The only way to come in is when a owner of 1 of the new build appartments will open the automatic gate.. But the chances of not being seen will be very small..

Also every building has been removed.. except the administrative building which is located right next to the main street..

It's a shame but there is just no way to get in.. and if I have read every comment about the horror labs correctly.. even if you get in to the administrative building.. the horror labs aren't located here..

You're likely to get spotted by some grumpy old french speaking guy (janitor or some sort). He told us the oldest part of the site is completely sealed of due to hazardous toxins. The front section is indeed inaccessible, but there are other places that were interesting enough. Make sure you find an entrance to the basements, those will get you anywhere (except for the old part). If you're planning to go, do it now.

Their method of display were rather unorthodox. Take the dissected fetal pig for example: how were students able to study the internal structure and identify the organs if the whole cavity was limp? The one pig specimen with the intact eye ball caught me off guard, but everything else was rather beautiful (from a student's point of few). The cow head was pretty cool to see (knew what it was from a distant).

I can't imagine what it must had smelled like in there. The cabinets were filled with what seemed like residue of whatever chemical they chose to preserve the animals in, and some of the specimens themselves look like the containers had given to the ware of time and had started to decompose.
