door omstandigheden ben ik nooit meer terug geweest naar deze plaats waar ik met veel liefde heb gewerkt.Heel veel goede en fijne herrineringen zijn er overgebleven.Het doet pijn aan het hart dat zo een mooi gebouw tot de grond wordt gelijk gemaakt.Het zal nooit meer het zelfde zijn.

This hurts...Let me join in saying we all need to leave a mark. Let's do it by saving what what the ravages of neglect and greed have threatened ....through photography. Immortalize works of art on the web and in celebrating and preserving their en devours you will bring renown to yourself no tag or piece could ever accomplish. Keep tagging out of these great places, make the hideous formless concrete monoliths that dominate our time your canvas. Then and only then will I appreciate and respect your work. Architects beware if you fail to deliver beauty, balance and artistic merit in your buildings....it may be added afterward.

I feel very lucky to have explored this a few times while I was in Liege, I am not surprized it was demolished... what an eerie place; fantastic for photography during the day, even better for creepy atmosphere during the night. R.I.P. Valdor!

unfortanaly this one is already torndown for the people who dont know this yet.. i was there last year. it seems castle mese is still there from what i heard.

In May I went there again after a long hiatus; I don't need to describe my shock to see it almost completely demolished. It had always been sad to see this jewel rotting away and being shamelessly plundered, but for this I wasn't quite prepared. Of all abandoned sites I've known, this was by far my favourite.
