The underground passages of the Val de Grâce
The underground passages of the Val de Grace are one of the most mysterious places of catacombs... They result from a very old career with pillars, and were the place of the complot of Anne of Austria ( see plan: Pavilion of the Queen). The " Hole of Lock of The Queen " was an access to underground passages situated under Anne of Austria's apartments.
Consolidations (named nowadays the corridor, the castle of the wood louse) were brought afterward by Mansard, who also built a church and a convent at the surface, as well as a stair which has his name and which leads to the Val de Grace.
Access to these underground passages is today more and more difficult, or even impossible because of lock (temporarly?)
