Exploring Our Abandoned Heritage

Forbidden Places: The Book

Head off to explore the filming location of 12 Monkeys, Michael Jackson’s hometown turned ghost town, Berlin’s 1936 Olympic Village, deconsecrated churches, forgotten castles, deserted train stations, prisons and mental asylums, a cemetery of rusted locomotives, abandoned steel factories, phantom metro stations, and more!

Livened up with by sometimes explanatory, oneiric or mysterious texts, this book presents an exceptional photographic report. Watch a preview of the book by clicking here!

Published by Jonglez Editions mid-October 2009, re-printed in March 2012, the book Forbidden Places is available in the good bookshops (UK, USA or Canada only), on Amazon or directly from the author if you want a signed copy!

Excellent

Ordered from Amazon and here <60h later!

A spectacular and good-sized book with amazing photos throughout. These images are all so well composed and capture the scenes in a way that is so very evocative and somehow brings a beauty to what is, after all, decay and ruin. This is a real "coffee table book" with a difference.

Perhaps one day a second volume...?

To Julie

Hi Julie,
Thanks for your message!
I just learned from my publisher that the book won't be (at first) distributed in USA.
So there are 2 options:
- you can order it from amazon.co.uk here (it will be available as of next week): www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/2915807825?ie=UTF8&tag=forbiplace-21&linkCode=as2&camp=1634&creative=6738&creativeASIN=2915807825

The other option is to order it via myself - it's a bit more expensive, I don't have the logistic facilities of Amazon, but you'll get a signed version! Payment can be done by Paypal.
Just let me know!
